dark side thursday

I m a g i n e…
Waking up after going to bed, to find you naked, bound, and in the fetal position in a wet corner of a dark and unfamiliar place.
Having no memory as to how it came to be, or how long you’ve been in captivity. The first thing to do, is not panic. You want to scream, however intuition warns me against doing so. There are two recognizable sounds, the echo from water dripping on the concrete floor, and the other is coming from vocal cords. The whimpers that follow the seeps of tears.
There doesn’t seem to be anyone else here, when suddenly out of the darkness there’s a flicker of light. Something eerie and unhuman is peering at you. It has three tiny slits for eyes. One yellow, the second blue, and the third positioned where the nose is located on a human, that’s red.  It quickly slithers along the wall. The stench is putrid. She vomits, until there’s nothing left to extricate, leaving her with dry-heave. In doing so she lost control of her bowels. Tears are streaming down her cheeks; she can’t focus. This must be a terrible nightmare.
A spine-chilling touch on her wrist made her flinch. It quickly cleared her vision. Whatever It is that has her captive, has unbound her wrist. Her arms are dangling at her sides. She has no shame naked, and sprawled in her feces.
The flicker is gone, but It is still clung to the wall. She is dehydrated. She begs her captor for water. It leaps clinging to the ceiling, ejecting sleet from the blue eye.

She sits upward, holds her head back and opens her mouth to catch the sleet.

At this time she gets a good look at It. There is nothing to Its appearance other than the eyes. It is transparent.

She begins to have an uncontrollable laughter, and start trembling.

It makes it hail from the yellow eye, and watches her for three nights.

She laughs having gone mad, until she is frozen to death.

The red eye begins to emit heat.

She begins to thaw, and BOOM! There is no trace of her in human form.

Both of them are slithering up and down the wall, looking for you with their

Six eyes!

Cold Cabin

Seconds

The floor began to creak in the early morning. Without failure; the loud tick-tock of the clock displays the same twilight zone time. It was musky, dark, dismal, and cold, despite the windows being closed.

The wood burning stove cinders were red, which indicated there should be heat. She pondered this for a moment, and suddenly sneezed. Wiping her nose on the sleeve of her filthy robe, she noticed a light red dry dark substance. It was of no concern at the moment.

Briskly walking pass the crooked mirror tacked on the dilapidated wall, the old woman had a few logs scattered in the corner. As she bent down to retrieve them, a mouse scurried over her foot. It didn’t startle her at all. Her goal was to get more heat, to sooth her aching bones. She was always cold.

She threw the remaining wood logs on the stove, grabbed an old frayed blanket, and sat on the only piece of furniture, which was a shabby broken chair, now infested with bed bugs. The old woman paid no mind to it in the sparsely furnished room. She was determined to watch the flame burn, until the sunrise.

This became a reoccurring process. Time always seemed to elude her. Eventually she realized that somehow, the bitter chill that rattled her bones had a connection to the creaking in the floor. It wasn’t until tonight, she was eerily aware that the chill was emitting from her. It is her who made the floor-boards creak.

She is a ghost. She is and has been for many years….Dead.

 Have a boo-ti-ful  dark Thursday!

Plunged Into Hell

dark side thursday

blk and white demons

D A R K N E S S    silently and slowly creeps upon my body. It always attacks from behind; like a thief in the night. It is a blind force of evil, that perpetuates an endless journey of horror. Spiraling into a cesspool so rapidly, I lose my breath. I am nausea, almost like peering into a kaleidoscope with shadows of white, which give no light. A  blackness so dense; unlike any shade I have ever seen before.

I pray it would go away, but to no avail. I feel my torso being violently sucked into a pit. It reminds me of a jacuzzi, not an enjoyable experience with fragrance and bubbles, but one with scolding water. where eyes replace the jet streams. Oh the eyes are vertical slits, the color of the flash from a fire-fly, only magnified a fluorescent yellow, so intense it stings and burns at pure sight. I can smell the repugnant odor of blood, and decaying flesh. I can’t determine if it’s human or animal, but I am terrified. I am being cast deeper, and deeper into HELL. I can sense the hair on my body begin to tingle, and the hair on my head is curling. My scalp feels as if hot wax has been poured on it. I smell… what I can best describe as singed chicken. I piss myself, and its pure agony. Imagine pouring salt into an open gash! No, now what? I’m being sprayed with hot moisture. Is it an iron, with the control on steam full blast?  Arrr…it’s a liquid being poured into my soul. I open my mouth to scream. No sound escapes my vocal folds. It seems I am being ripped into shreds. I slump forward, like a rag doll.. I can literally see what was once my heart. It is slowing pulsating, back and forth. It appears to be loosely attached, by a sheer strip of dental floss.

At this point, there is no denying that death is imminent. I shut my eyes to embrace the thought. My carcass will be thrown into the pit, of which I have been doomed, to be tormented for eternity.

I think I am dead. No one could survive such torrents of pain, suffering, and dismemberment. I vaguely recall what happened. To my horror, I see my eye- balls beseeching me.  I must be hallucinating. Nothing so spine-chilling can be tangible. One moment, this is HELL. I’m sure of it. So it can be reality down below. I can think. I’m unsure if I have a sense of rational logistics. Perhaps this is my damnation. I wish it was a grueling nightmare, but it is my reality!

Years later……in the pit

The darkness never ceased, though the sun rose every day.  What must happen for me to look upon the sky, or see the brightness of the sun, that blinds my eyes?

*I wrote this March 4, 2013 shortly after my first few post. Two people read it, one of whom still follows my scattered musings. It’s perfect for dark | side | Thursday*

Left It Behind

Walking through the forest as I often tend to do.

I stopped and waited for a while

It smelled of nature’s dew

I closed my eyes, then peeked

Around

To make sure that I’d left behind

The lonely part of me.

When I felt satisfied, I smiled and continued along

Leaving the place where misery lives

I’d left it far behind.

Ashes of darkness cover my

My feet burned on the flaming

..Coals…

 Charred pieces of my

Whirl around my blistered

…Feet..

There’s no denying this pit of

…Pain…

It is the damnation on Earth

…The…

Hell that I lived!

I’ll be your wings so you can

…Fly…

Because you’re broken

…Your…

Eyes so that you may

…See…

I’ll be your light, because

…You’ve…

Been blinded my pain

…If…

Only you see a beam in the

…Night…

We’ll work this out

…Because…

You can not soar above the

…Clouds…

And find peace in the

…Darkness…

I will never leave you in the

…Cold…

Our connection is priceless

…It’s…

Worth more than gold

…This…

Is my gift of love

…This…

Is from my soul

Flying

…I flew pass my old house today

Hovered above an apple tree

Black snow was falling on the ground

Paint peeling off the garage, striping itself naked

Bearing its soul of heartache and sadness

Not remembering it was once a happy home

…The house is an abandoned eyesore

All the windows are covered with board

I pondered if its to keep the ghosts inside

Or keep them from escaping

Enough seen.

It’s time to fly again, and never return

Let the ghosts wrestle among themselves

I’m free!

I can fly!

I miss my house, but not the life. I’d rather fly everyday with strong wings,

Or flop with a broken one, just not be caged.

Peace my friends.
