Eyes closed, with an open mind
Shielded from bigotry, and ignorance
You can’t see the color of our eyes
The color of our tears is exactly the same
Our blood is red, and we are female
We laugh; share our pain, and struggles
Hope to gain, respect for who we are
Not, the color of our skin
It is but a shell to our humanity
A precious jewel, a black or white

Our hips swaying from side to side
