Bloody Boots

A businessman looks good in a suit

But our men in the U.S. Troops
Our heroes and sheros are wearing boots
Military helicopters transport them far from home
And drops them on a foreign land
With helmets on and a gun in their hand
Our soldiers don’t run for cover
They put themselves in the direct line of fire
To rescue and aid an injured brother
There are so many heroes on the battlefield
Too many never returned to heal
Broken families, with broken hearts
Tears are shed, voices are screaming
Each soldier was a mother’s son
Now he lies in dirt, wearing bloody boots
