“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”

Self-destruction

She stands motionless in the street, cold and naked

Waiting for someone to rescue her and give her solace

It is snowing, and her hair looks like cotton candy

She shivers, and her teeth rattle, but she is frozen

There is no movement, there is no sound

Confusion overwhelms her, her eyes are marbles

Unexpectedly, there are bright flashes, and voices

She makes a feeble attempt to shout for help

But, there is no movement, there is no sound

It is not until she hears “This is a lovely statue, it looks real.”

The statue cracks, and crumbles to the ground

Two marble eyes, full of tears….look around

There is no solace to be found
