She stands motionless in the street, cold and naked
Waiting for someone to rescue her and give her solace
It is snowing, and her hair looks like cotton candy
She shivers, and her teeth rattle, but she is frozen
There is no movement, there is no sound
Confusion overwhelms her, her eyes are marbles
Unexpectedly, there are bright flashes, and voices
She makes a feeble attempt to shout for help
But, there is no movement, there is no sound
It is not until she hears “This is a lovely statue, it looks real.”
The statue cracks, and crumbles to the ground
Two marble eyes, full of tears….look around
There is no solace to be found
