I took these photographs at the Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge Marsh last week. This is what I found the most interesting. The Allee House was built in the 18th century. I wasn’t able to tour inside because it needs to be refurbished, but these pictures captured my imagination.

Yes I am now. When I was younger history bored me. I think it was just reading and not getting out to observe buildings, etc. You would have enjoyed it, and it was a lovely day.

I didn’t like history when I was in school, but when I discovered historical fiction. Then I started digging in and learning history! π

I was in awe. I started thinking about the family that used to live there, and their way of life. It was also a tobacco plantation. Very interesting place.
