I’ve been waiting for The Sandman

But he has not come

I thinking over the day, and wondering what I have done

I’m tossing and turning, wanting Sandman to come

My eyelids are heavy; my mind is not numb

I’ll howl to the moon, and pray he comes soon

I’ll lie on my pillow, and float amongst the clouds

I’ll hoot with the owls, and leap with the frogs

I’ll count the stars in the bright sky tonight

I hope I can sleep before I see daylight
